It's probably because "Confirm closing while connected to server" in Options -> General is enabled.

A dialog will popup and will require input to continue.

No. That's not the problem. I have unchecked all confirmations.

I have tried to replicate this with 1.8.7 and the latest beta using your config without luck.

If you are using 1.8.7 could you either upgrade to the latest beta and see if that helps or if you don't like beta's, could you download the latest beta to a folder, copy your config files into that folder and see if it have the same problem?

Now, if the beta have this problem to could you type /debug inside it.. it will create a file called debug.txt in your adiirc folder.

Then attach this file here and could you also let me know what version of Windows you are running?

Sorry for the delay.

I tested with both versions (1.8.7 and 1.8.8 beta) on Windows XP SP3 with the latest updates and i can say that the issue remained.

So I did a little backtracking on the problem and found out that the issue occurs only when "Minimize windows when pressing X (close button)" is enabled (CONF_minimizemdi=True). In debug mode, i haven't seen any error, still i have attached it - maybe i missed something.

The solution: I unchecked it and checked "Send to tray when pressing X (close button)"

Very nice detective work, i managed to replicate this, and i made a fix in the latest beta, it should close cleanly now.

Cheers :)
