Server list is empty

Added by Albert Braden about 5 years ago

I installed adilirc 3.5 64-bit and when I started it, it presented a list of servers and I connected to Freenode. Later I wanted to connect to Efnet so I brought up the server list but it was empty. I closed adilirc and opened it again, and this time it presented an empty list of servers. What am I doing wrong? How can I see the server list again?

You are probably talking about two separate things, the QUickconnect DIalog and the Serverlist.

The quic kconnect dialog is for new users to quickly connect to a network while the serverlist is more advanced and gives you more options. You can setup servers manually or add them from the same list as the quick connect dialog when you click the Add new network button. It also allows you to automatically connect to servers on startup.

If you want to continue using the quick connect dialog, you can find it in Menubar -> Server -> Quick Connect.

Thanks for the advice. I was able to use the quick-connect dialog to connect to Efnet, but it closed my Freenode windows. How can I connect to a 2nd server without closing the 1st?

You can either toggle this option Open server history/favorites/quick connect in a new window or press shift while clicking Log On.

OIC I had to add them to the server list and then click "Connect in a new tab."

Thanks for your advice Per!

Np. I know it's a little confusing with two different systems, I have plans for merging quick connect/Serverlist in the future.
