ignore trouble
Added by shire pirate about 9 years ago
perhaps i'm missing something, but the /ignore command doesn't seem to be working at all for me. i've tested it on efnet & freenode. using the context menu or even using the special parameters for the command, nothing works, nothing can be ignored. doesn't matter if user is OPed or voiced or has no modes.
if bug has already been mentioned somewhere sorry, couldn't find anything.
this is on the latest stable 1.9.6

What exactly are you tying as parameters in your ignore command.

There is also a user interface for ignore in Options -> Ignore.

for example, /ignore -cdiknpt username username!*@*
does nothing on EFNet or FreeNode
also just using the regular ignore from the context menu on a user does not work. i first noticed this many months ago, but only decided to mention it now as it's so annoying that ignore can't be used properly. does it work all right for you on those networks?

ARGH, seems i disabled "enable ignore" within options a long time ago and forgot about it. sorry for the trouble >.<

as a side note though, it couldn't hurt to print out something to the user when you attempt to add something to the ignore list
i.e. "you have disabled ignore within options"

lol it happens, glad you figured it out.
And for the record the syntax is either /ignore -cdiknpt username or /ignore -cdiknpt username!*@* .. if you wanted to use the mask parameter, you do /ignore -cdiknpt username [mask] .. where [mask] is a number from the types in $mask.
