Just tested, no problem connecting to this server, make sure you have not checked "Enable SSL" for this server if you are connecting from the serverlist.

adiirc is part of my allow list on Norton 360. I have tried to connect to other network and channels and unable to also

Okay then it's definitely a firewall problem, maybe check if AdiIRC is allowed in windows firewall or Norton 360 firewall?

I just installed a nortion 360 trial, and adiirc connected fine.

Not sure why it doesn't work for you, have you tried other clients?

yes I tried mirc same thing In addition I have flushed my DNS. I also uninstalled and reinstalled adiirc, to eliminate any firewall I also used the hotspot on my iphone to connect. Nothing seems to help

I see, maybe your internet service provider is blocking irc connection or connection to specific ports?

Maybe type this in adiirc /server -m irc.nordicirc.com:+6697 ... it should create a SSL connection to irc.nordicirc.com.

It was working fine until Friday, on Friday internet provider installed new modem, I had it open using it when my service went down, since then cannot get back in. That is why I tried to on my iphone to eliminate my internet provider, my phone provider does not provide a firewall, no matter what I try I cannot connect

ok I tried typing /server -m irc.nordicirc.com:+6697 and got this popup I click automatically accept in future and got connected

That is very interesting, what if you try this commands, just to see if some networks are blocked or ports are blocked:

/server -m irc.nordicirc.com:6667
/server -m irc.nordicirc.com:6668

/server -m chat.freenode.net:6667
/server -m chat.freenode.net:+6697

The popup means the connection works btw, just a warning that I am using a self signed ssl certificate.

can get in with the 6668 and 8897 but not the two 6667

Okay that sounds like your port 6667 is blocked for some reason.

You could use a proxy or a VPN/hotspot to get around that.
