Server specific channel logging question
Added by theorist complex over 7 years ago
I connect to quite a few different networks and then join several channels that have the same name on multiple networks. For example...
on network A - I join #linux
on network B - I join #linux
on network C - I join #linux
I am trying to use the "Always log channels/users" section of the Logging control panel to log a SINGLE one of the above channels.
Example: I want to log Network B #linux and NOT log #linux on Networks A and C
What is the syntax to be able to specify which Network/channel to log?
Thanks in advance for any help.
*I've already had someone outside the forum suggest that I could use the "Log all channels" option, and then list which channels I DO NOT want to log in the "Disable logging for channels/users" section, but I simply run into the same issue as above - besides the fact that listing 30 channels I don't want to log just to be able to log one specific channel would hardly be a good option.

Logging include/exclude list is based on the channel name, there is no way to include/exclude on specific networks.
I'll think about ways to allow that in the future.

For next beta, I added ability to use "networkname:#channel" in Options -> Logging -> Disable/Allow and new window menus for Logging -> On (Networkname) | Off (Networkname).
