The channel name stays highlighted after minimizing and restoring the screen, and there is new text.
You have to click into another channel and then back to get rid of the red notifier text.
I am using v2.8 x64 Portable on Windows 8.1. :)
Yeah it happens from time to time, so far I have not been able to find the cause.
