Minimal Interface, but with tiled windows.
Is it possible to recreate the minimal look that you can find in the screen shots area with channels tiled? I've longed for this type of view forever. The Windows 8 title bars are so ugly and huge! They take up so much precious viewing space :).
PS- Loving AdiIRC! My MTS theme isn't fully compatible though. May have to look at re-creating it for Adi.
Which screenshot are you referring to?
And can you attach your MTS theme here, I will test it and see if there is a bug.
It's not actually a screenshot in the screenshots section. It's a video

Here is another showcase for a minimal AdiIRC interface:"
The MTS was sloppily done when I did it like 10 years ago as well so that could have something to do with it and it actually works well for the most part. WHOIS'ing someone returns blank.
Right, he posted instruction at the bottom, how to make it minimal, then you can press alt to bring the Menubar up, and go to Windows Menu -> Tile Horiz/vert/Cascade if this is what you mean.
No, I know all of this. I want to get rid of the channel title bars though when they're tiled.
Ah I see, this is not possible/allowed for Windows inside a MDI Window I am afraid.
Maybe an alternative could be to use the channel monitor panel.
The "Channel Messages" window? I do have this active at the bottom. Not sure I want the whole screen as that one window. Hmm, well that sucks :D
You can drag it around and dock it where you want, maybe you can come up with a split view, so channel monitor is half and current window is half, same as tiling kind of :)
Tried, doesn't work too well. I made it a window instead of it being docked like it was to give it a try and now it won't dock at the bottom anymore :/
Right click the window in the Treebar/Switchbar and make sure "Show on Desktop" is checked or press Ctrl + D.
When the window is in "Show on Desktop" mode (Not inside the MDI Window) you should be able to dock it to a side again, if not make sure "Lock Bars" is off.
Btw if you are using 1.9.5, try type /betaup to get the latest 1.9.6 beta, there is many improvements and bug fixes.
Sent some crash reports. AdiIRC is crashing when selecting View > Channel Messages after closing it.
I'm on the latest beta.
Where is the lock bar option?
I can replicate this crash, will fix that.
Right click the Treebar, Switchbar, Toolbar or Menubar to find the "Lock Bars" option.
Lol, now I have a real problem. Was messing with the Dock options under view. I have dual monitors and docked to the left. AdiIRC is no where to be found now.
End tasked AdiIRC and keep trying to turn Dock to off and it disappears.
I have not tested Docking on dual monitor, I will try that sometime.
To fix all this, close AdiIRC, open your config.ini file, usually in C:\Users\<username\AppData\Local\AdiIRC
remove this line "MainDock=" and them remove this section "[Docking]" to restore all this to default.
