[Plugin] Poor mans colored emoji
Replaces emoji characters with emoticon images, not great but gets the job done.
Installing¶
- Download and unzip the attached ColoredEmoji.zip to $adiircdir\Plugins
- In AdiIRC, go to Menubar -> File -> Plugins, select the ColoredEmoji.dll and press the Load button.
- Then in the Editbox type /loademoji to load the emojis into emoticons. (Only have to do this once)
- Enable Emoticons in Options -> Emoticons.
Uninstalling¶
Type /unloademoji in the Editbox. this will remove all the emojis from the emoticon list.
All other emoticons are preserved.
Usage¶
Typing CTRL + E brings up a list of all emoticons including emoji, just click a emoticon/emoji to add it to the Editbox.
This script can be used to add all emoticons/emoji to the Menubar.
Updating plugin¶
- Type /unloademoji in the Editbox. this will remove all the emojis from the emoticon list.
- Close AdiIRC.
- Follow the Installing instructions.
Updating Icons manually¶
- Type /unloademoji in the Editbox. this will remove all the emojis from the emoticon list.
- Download the latest emojione release from https://github.com/joypixels/emoji-assets/releases
- Unpack the zip file
- Copy all images from the \png\unicode\32 folder in the zip file to the $adiircdir\Plugins\Emoji\ folder.
- Type /loademoji in the Editbox to load the emojis into emoticons.
Tips¶
It's possible to print all emojis by typing /printemoji in the Editbox.
