Description

Hello,

I was trying to connect on irc.valware.uk +6697 server using SASL but AdiIRC keeps failing, i tried using other IRC client and was working, as i see the AdiIRC doesn't sending AUTHENTICATE at all (not sure if this is the issue).

Rawlog : https://pastebin.com/E6KMhWBK

- Thanks!

There are 2 clients rawlogs inside that pastebin link, 1st is AdiIRC (lines 1-20) and 2nd is mIRC (20-130), as you can see in AdiIRC doesn't sending that only the other does.

If you want to test it on that server here is an test account:

Server: irc.valware.uk +6697
Nick: testuser
Pass: Test!12345_

  • Subject changed from AdiIRC fails to AUTHENTICATE using SASL to Multi line IRCv2 CAP lists are not handled correctly on some servers
  • Status changed from New to Resolved

I looked into it, it's not SASL related, it's an issue with how adiirc handles multi line CAP lists on this specific server, should be fixed in next beta.
