Icon Size

Hi, everyone.

I'm an absolute newbie, so please bear with me. Can anyone tell me if there's a way to make the toolbar icons larger? I have a high-resolution screen, and I can barely see them, much less tell what they are. I have to rely on tooltips to tell me. It's hard, too, to click on the right one with my mouse, because they're so small.

Icons doesn't scale with the DPI, they are fixed 16x16 pixels.

You can use the /toolbar command with the "-p" parameter to change them to your own icons larger though, but I know it's not ideal.

Thank you. Is there anywhere that I might be able to find a larger set of icons to do this, so I don't have to create my own?

You wont be able to find the ones AdiIRC uses, they were specifically made for AdiIRC. but only as 16x16 pixels, but you should be able to google for icons, find some you like then download them as ICO or PNG, preferably as 32x32 pixels.

Yes, but I would have to search for them all individually and try to find ones that match IRC functions. I'm sure no one has created a set for AdiIRC; I'm surely not the only one with this problem. I have a couple of other programs that have multiple alternate icon sets you can install. The ironic thing is that I've never done that, because I haven't needed to.

Thanks for the links, but rather than taking the time, I think it might be easier just to find another IRC program that doesn't have the problem.

Yes I agree, mIRC has the same problem, but you could check out https://hexchat.github.io/, http://kvirc.net/ or https://quassel-irc.org/, good luck.

Yes, mIRC has the problem, and I've posted the same question to its forum with no success. I hate to give up on AdiIRC because it looks really good, but I might have to.

I have used Hexchat and KVIrc in the past (years ago--I'm essentially starting over), but Quassel is new to me.
