/rename [-of] <filename> <new filename>
Renames a file or folder, can also be used to move a file or folder to another location.
Switches
| Switch | Description |
| -o | Overwrites the target file if it exists. |
| -f | Flushes copy to disk immediately. |
Parameters
| Parameter | Description |
| <filename> | File/folder to rename or move. |
| <new filename> | New filename/foldername. |
Example
/rename E:\example.txt "E:\renamed with spaces.txt"
